Why use a VPN?

Why use a VPN? To surf like them!

Executives, corporations, state authorities, VIPs and Internet savvy citizens have long used VPN technology to protect their Internet communication.

Surf like them! With Integrity.st VPN.

At Integrity VPN we do not believe in special privileges for a few.

It is time for the general public to have access to the same technology and the same level of security, privacy and liberty.

When paying for an Integrity VPN account you also support 5July.org  and the fight for a secure and free internet!

10 situations where Integrity can help

[toggle title_open=”I can connect to the site of a TV-channel but when I click to watch I cannot see the program that I want.” title_closed=”I can connect to the site of a TV-channel but when I click to watch I cannot see the program that I want.” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
The Channel probably applies geo-based blocking. They don’t want people outside certain areas to watch their programming due to e.g. regional content licensing deals, advertising reach or agreements with unions.

Our stance
Integrity will never restrict content. In most cases, if you are allocated an IP number that apparently emanates from a specific country, then you should be able to access content in that country as if you were locally accessing the internet from there.

Caveat
To begin with Integrity offers a gateway in Sweden. Later we will offer other countries which should make it possible to circumvent different types of geographical censorship.

[toggle title_open=”I try to watch the famous Sportpalast speech by Joseph Goebbels’ in Berlin in 1943 where he demands unanimous support for Total War. But I cannot!” title_closed=”I try to watch the famous Sportpalast speech by Joseph Goebbels’ in Berlin in 1943 where he demands unanimous support for Total War. But I cannot!” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
In certain countries even historical content showing the tragedy of humanity is prohibited and blocked.

Our stance
The Kingdom of Sweden does not mandate that Internet Providers block or censor any material. Some Swedish providers do anyway. Integrity however makes sure to offer an unfiltered Internet experience via our Swedish gateway.

[toggle title_open=”I cannot access The Economist and other international big media.” title_closed=”I cannot access The Economist and other international big media.” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
You reside in China or some other location that censors the web heavily, true?

Our stance
If you can connect to Integrity VPN you will be able to read the Economist or any other publication.

Caveat
Authoritarian states have been known to work to block VPN services in order to prevent such free information access.

[toggle title_open=”I wish to meet and chat with other gays but the dating community I try to reach never  loads …?” title_closed=”I wish to meet and chat with other gays but the dating community I try to reach never  loads …?” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
Many countries still regard homosexuals as criminals and block access to such sites to protect their population from unwanted influences.

Our stance
If you can connect to Integrity VPN you will be able to access all dating sites.

Caveat
Some community sites have been known to block access from IP addresses they believe belong to certain VPN providers. We cannot guarantee that this could not potentially occur. Integrity will never block anything however.

[toggle title_open=”I don’t trust the Internet Providers in my country, I think they spy on what sites I am accessing.” title_closed=”I don’t trust the Internet Providers in my country, I think they spy on what sites I am accessing.” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
This may very well be true in certain locations. The provider could in principle read all your traffic unless it is encrypted. And in some countries the state has permanent access into the Internet provider systems.

Our stance
Integrity gives you an encrypted tunnel right through your Internet Provider. They will not be able to spy when you use Integrity VPN.

I only get a disappointed smiley instead!!!” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
Welcome to Germany!

Lady Gaga music video censored in Germany

Our stance
Welcome to the Kingdom of Sweden via Integrity!

[toggle title_open=”I connect to my hotel’s wireless network. Normally a lock is shown but not now. Is that dangerous?” title_closed=”I connect to my hotel’s wireless network. Normally a lock is shown but not now. Is that dangerous?” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
It is not uncommon for hotspots and hotel networks to be plain text (unencrypted). It means that every other user in the hotel (or on a bench outside if the network reaches there) can see exactly what you are doing and may be able to snatch passwords and valuable data from you.

Our stance
We give you an encrypted tunnel right through the air and all the way to Integrity’s Internet gateway.

Caveat
At Integrity we have experienced hotels that block VPN connections. Most likely this is unintentional from their side, since business travelers demand VPN compatibility. It is due to bad configuration from the hotel’s side. Ask them about it.

[/toggle]

[toggle title_open=”My hotel uses WEP encryption for the wireless connection. I’ve heard that WPA2 is safe but WEP is also good, right?” title_closed=”My hotel uses WEP encryption for the wireless connection. I’ve heard that WPA2 is safe but WEP is also good, right?” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
Wrong. Any computer kid could crack a WEP network in seconds and read your traffic.

Our stance
If encryption is very important to you then you should use Integrity’s OpenVPN service. The PPTP service is safer than WEP but not uncrackable for skilled adversaries although it takes longer time.

[toggle title_open=”I think the DNS of my ISP has been deliberately poisoned!” title_closed=”I think the DNS of my ISP has been deliberately poisoned!” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
Most of the time DNS (Domain Name Server) poisoning refers to hacked servers with bad security. But there are ISP:s who voluntarily (or by law) in their country falsifiy addressing information with the intention that you should not be able to navigate the Internet as was intended. It might be called DNS poisoning also.

Our stance
Look, our DNS:es are not poisoned! When using the Integrity VPN service you will automatically use our DNS, not your home provider’s.

Caveat
There are providers who force DNS calls to be routed to their own servers. We do what we can to circumvent such madness.

[toggle title_open=”I live in Denmark and have heard that Internet Providers must save information about every web site I visit or chat session or p2p session, can this really be true?” title_closed=”I live in Denmark and have heard that Internet Providers must save information about every web site I visit or chat session or p2p session, can this really be true?” hide=”yes” border=”yes” style=”default” excerpt_length=”0″ read_more_text=”Show” read_less_text=”Hide” include_excerpt_html=”no”]

Reason
Yes, it is true. At the least they must take samples of your internet traffic and save information about every 500th information package that you send and receive.

Our stance
Integrity does not sample or save anything about your Internet communication. Your communication is yours – not ours. We follow the laws of the Kingdom of Sweden, not Denmark. The samples they take for your connection will all be the same: They will see that you connect to Integrity but the rest is just dark for them. (correct?)
